This Torq surfboard is a fish with extra volume. The concept is to provide the continuous plan shape of a minimal/funboard with extra width and volume. And this over the entire length. The result is a board that is easy to handle and easy to turn due to its shortness, but is still relaxed to paddle and offers the buoyancy of a larger board. For intermediates, the board offers stability, paddling power and the possibility to get more waves. Heavier surfers will find enough buoyancy in it, despite its compactness. Due to its single to double concave it can still be surfed rail to rail. With its 5 Future Fin Boxes it can be surfed as a quad or thruster. Dimensions: 7.6 x 22 3/4 x 3 3/8 Volume: 66.3 liters Scope of delivery: Board without fins TORQ TEC CONSTRUCTION IN DETAIL: Torq Epoxy Composite offers versatile performance shapes in the most advanced epoxy construction. A mix of traditional fiberglass layers and carbon fibers is used, which makes the boards ultra-light and robust. One step ahead Thanks to the use of optimized composite construction methods, the TEC range is one step ahead. Super stable, yet lightweight boards with perfect flex. Control - Flex - Response In the TORQ epoxy composite production, one layer each of 6oz and 4oz fiberglass and carbon reinforcements (in the tail) are processed on the deck and bottom. The underside is also reinforced with carbon in the tail area and also has a carbon strip that extends over the entire length, giving the board controlled flex and lively response. The deck has an additional 6oz fiberglass patch. EPS foam: Lighter-Faster-Greener The computer-controlled production of the blanks results in considerably less waste. No MDI and TDI. Far more environmentally friendly than conventional polyurethane blanks. CARBON FIBERS: Stronger - livelier Provide the board with greater elasticity than fiberglass. More lively in the maneuvers plus stronger in the stressed region such as over the fins. EPOXY RESIN: Stiffer - More environmentally friendly Less release of toxic VOCs during curing. Stronger than polyester resin. No excess/waste during processing
