We present the Patrik RACE HA Gen2 sail.
After the RACE HA, helmed by Johan Søe and Justine Lemeteyer, had dominated nearly every Foilrace and every major Foil event—and in the process also secured two consecutive PWA Constructors’ titles—it was clear from the outset that further developing the RACE HA would be no easy task. But the development team worked tirelessly right up to the very last moment, refining every conceivable detail to extract even more performance from the GEN 2 sail.
The focus of the new design was on significantly improving performance in strong winds while simultaneously reducing the effort required and increasing overall stability and control. The result is a sail that remains smooth and efficient in about 3–4 knots more wind than before, without compromising the exceptional low-end power that has always been one of the HA’s greatest strengths.
This was achieved through small but extremely effective adjustments to the sleeve width, clew cutout, profile, and batten configuration. Combined with several “top-secret” developments, the RACE HA is ready to dominate once again.
A refined balance between lift and downforce ensures complete control in all conditions. More control means more confidence—and ultimately, more speed.
Intensive work has also been done on the construction itself, including new materials and a redesigned reinforcement and load-distribution structure inside the sleeve. These changes result in a noticeably lighter feel in the hands, making the sail feel almost one size smaller while maintaining full race-level performance.
